Using audio dashboard notifications while on a Touchstone 9

Being only one tap away from accessing a dashboard notification for an audio program such the stock Music Player or DrPodder is an extremely convenient feature of webOS, but did you know that those notifications are also active while your phone is on the Touchstone? Instead of unlocking your phone, tapping on the dashboard icon to maximize the notification and then performing your action, you can do it right from the lock screen. This is extremely useful if you have a car-mounted touchstone because you can quickly stop, rewind or fastfoward with just a quick glance at your phone and not take your eyes off the road!
Note that this may not work will all audio applications. Each app may have different results

doesn't work with Pandora
Is there any way to restore the notification if I accidentally threw it away, without restarting the playback or app?
I use the notification all the time but accidentally threw it away a few times.
For which app?
This never seems to work for ne with Dr.Podder. The fast forward doesn't do anything.

The tip says it let's you fast-forward and rewind. In my experience, it only lets you skip forward and skip backward. There's a bit difference between those two feature sets. I wish it had both. Please tell me if I am missing something.
Also, please add some kind of notification system on these comments so we will know when someone responds, if we so choose. I know of smaller blogs that do this (maybe being smaller allows their servers to handle the extra load?).
I have the patch installed which allows you to delete and email from the notification bar. I wish that this delete button worked from the locked screen.
Not to be pedantic, but isn't "just a quick glance at your phone" taking your eyes off the road?
