Vote: PreCentral.net Best of 2010 Awards 29
After receiving more than 3,600 nominations, we’ve sorted through them all and picked the best to be put to the vote for the PreCentral.net Best of 2010 Awards. There are seventy-two separate apps up for the awards, along with a dozen developers, and some themes and patches for good measure. It’s a veritable smorgasbord of webOS goodness, and it’s now up to you to pick the best of the best. After the break you’ll find the polls to crown the Best App of 2010, Best Developer of 2010, and many others.
Oh, and did we mention the prize for the homebrew crowd? Thanks to the awesome folks at WebOS Internals we’ll have a developer Palm Pre 2 to give to the winner of the Best Homebrew Developer of 2010 award (assuming that he/she doesn’t already have one).

Man I wanted to vote for more than one more than once on a lot of those.
yeah some hard choices in there
off topic but what the heck...does anyone know's the name of the appl that allow you to take a picture of an item and it will find a local location for purchase along with the item cost???
bad kitty should not be under beautiful, it's a dull gray!
It's a good looking app, and I see white, blue, touch of red, some very nice graphic touches like shadows, catliedoscope thing. It's more then just grey. I didn't vote for it but it deserves to be on the list.
No Gowalla on the location based apps? No AccuRadio on the music apps?
AccuRadio is the best music app on WebOS, too bad it wasn't a choice.
I was bummed to see Pandora (which I did an experiment on 3 different Pre's and got the same result.. Stuck in headphone jack mode)
yet Slacker radio wasn't up there.
HARD CHOICE GUYS!!!
That was hard!!!!
I can't say whos the best dev cause they all have lots of talent and honestly bring so much to the table.
Interesting...we have Sconix both as an individual and as a member of webOS Internals? I chose to think of him in the latter role.
Did you guys notice that Palm didn't release one truly new device this whole year?
*Sigh*
We got all the way to 9 comments before the off topic bitching began. Good going, guys!
It's a Fact. I just realized that 2010 is ending and I remembered telling my cousin 2010 will be Palm's year...
Preware gets my vote. They really did make the Palm experience unique and long lasting.
My bad. I apologize for going off topic. This should really be about the Developers.

Preware should be best app hands down. But it shouldn't be listed a few times
yeah there were some Hard choices to make!
end of 2010 and palm did jack except for putting a great OS on a tiny 3 inch screen. they should be kissing Precentrals ass and praising Preware for keeping their prehistoric phone out of a garbage can
WADR, my most used apps didn't make any list. ToDoClassic, ClassicNotes, News!, (and I'm not pandering) PreCentralNews.
Just stating facts, from my point of view. If I had to deal w/Memos & Tasks as provided in the base set of apps, even as a confirmed Palm fan, I probably would have paid the penalty and gone back to my Treo.
That said, I should clarify that I rarely play games other than an occassional solitaire. To me, this Pre+ is a phone and a traditional PDA that also allows SMS, E-Mail & access to the Internet primarily for news.
I was shocked to see the NYTimes listed. The NYT is one of about 16 news sources I check, and probably the last on the list of those I read. This is why I would put 'News!' near the top of my 'Best App of the Year'.
Just my opinion, based on my Pre use.
Impossible to mention all the great apps, and certainly impossible to please everybody here, but I have a few honorable mentions that I didn't see. Check out: Orbium, Sparkle, Quell, Azkend, and Speed Forge in the games category. Casa, Relego!, Forums, Safe Box, Offer Eye, and Auction Mate in the tools/utilities category.
yeah there were some Hard choices to make!
Angy Birds , say no more .... in the games section , Too bad SPAZ is not out there as for twitter...
definitely The Diet Control Application in the Health section , The Best Diet Application Out there(well sadly there aren't so many :-))
Hmmm...
Hard choices in some of those categories aside, am I the only one who thinks that "award" looks too much like a tombstone?!?
M.
Painful to choose the best homebrewer for any that volunteers their time to make webos better kick a$$.
I use 7 of the top ten "Best of all" apps. lol.
ToDo is an amazing app, so much easier than Done! Done! just has WAY to many features I have no use for. I bought them both and only use ToDo.
I voted Radiant as best game because I know Angry Birds will win, and I thought Radiant was a kick ass game.
NewsRoom is always sweeeet.
*Fist bump goes to Preware* Without Preware, I wouldn't have been able to continue using my Pre Plus over the course of the year. WebOS is a great operating system and the Pre has a decent form factor, but if HP/Palm doesn't release new hardware and 2.0 to the masses soon, even Preware won't be able to change disgruntled customer's minds when it comes to upgrading to Android or iOS.
