Editor's Note: Another new writer? It is so! If you've spent any time around the webOS community at large you've probably run into Arthur Thornton. He's been developing and blogging about webOS for years and had now joined us at webOS Nation. Welcome to the team, Arthur!

Chances are you've heard about the latest hit mobile game Draw Something. You know, the one where you draw out a word on your phone or tablet and your partner tries to guess the word using a slate of letters? No, not Pictionary, though pretty similar. You've probably noticed that Draw Something hasn't seen much activity on webOS Nation, and that's thanks to its current status as an app only on Android and iOS, selling for $0.99-a-pop or as an ad-supported free version, with more than 15 million daily active users. As any enterprising business, OMGPOP, the makers of Draw Something (recently purchased by Zynga), is willing to entertain expanding into new markets, if the demand is there.

Leave it to the always engaging webOS Nation community to pick up that ball and run with it. Yesterday, member zacky59 took to Draw Something's Get Statsifaction help and feedback page to request they consider porting the game to the TouchPad. Normally such responses fall on deaf ears, but it seems that OMGPOP is willing to entertain the idea. The response was a familiar refrain to the webOS Nation: supply and demand. However, if the community can demonstrate enough demand, it's something the developers could consider. Sure, you can access the Android version of Draw Something by installing CyanogenMod 9 on your TouchPad, but who wants to be forced to shut down webOS and boot into Android just to play a few quick games of Draw Something?

If you want Draw Something on webOS, head to the Get Satsifaction source link below and provide your "+1" to the cause. We don't know just how much it would take for OMGPOP to consider porting Draw Something to webOS, though we do know it would be the first Zynga game to make the jump. This isn't exactly something the webOS Nation hasn't experienced before - this community has rallied before to convince Rovio to bring Angry Birds to webOS and successfully demonstrated enough demand to satisfy Astraware. Draw Something coud end up not being much of a different story, from what we can tell the app doesn't use any OS-specific UI elements on iOS or Android, so the port shouldn't hit any major snags should they decide to follow Rovio's and Astraware's steps and support this small but eternally vocal community.

To garner as much attention as possible please add a comment as well as the +1.

It wouldn't hurt to send an email off to OMGPOP as well. feedback@omgpop.com

If we can convince Draw Something to come to webOS and it exceeds their expectations we may end up seeing Words with Friends, Hanging with Friends, etc.

Ironically, I just got this on my Epic Touch and it's very fun. I love the interaction part of it.

I would like to see an effort from hp to get the attention from developers like zynga.
C'mon hp be profetionals and stop being irresponsible!!!

why does the title say Draw something for the touchpad? If we want this we should try to get it on all WebOS hardware!

It would certainly be great to get it onto phones as well, however porting can take time and resources depending on the code used. Add to it that the TouchPad is likely the most widely adopted and still in-use webOS product released coupled with the identical-to-iPad1/2 resolution and you have the most viable porting target.
I hope they port it to phones, I'd love to use it on my Pre3 in addition to my fauxG TouchPad. However, I don't see it going to the Veer (due to the too-small-to-usefully-draw screen), nor the Pre/+/2 due to the limited resolution. I imagine if they ported to any phones it would be the Pre3 because it has a screen size and resolution that are usable and similar to Android couterparts (many Android phones are 480x800). But then one must still consider that the investment to bring it to the Pre3 may not be paid back (they would have to purchase at least one, if not 2-5, Pre3s for testing purposes).
Not to discourage you, just pointing out the reasons they likely will not do a webOS phone version but could still do a TouchPad version.

The Get Satisfaction page has been up for less than a day and there are over 100 +1's and 37 comments.

Great job guys, keep it up!!!

They should just write an HTML5 version using Enyo. Then it won't be stuck on webOS.

I'm in to try this on webOS.

Count my support

199 people and 26 Facebook likes-- strong showing for day 1. Spread the word, if we can get this one out there, it might get Zynga to take the platform seriously...

Did it! +1, commented and fb-Liked. :-)

More than 200 now! Come on! lets demonstrate we are backing up our beloved webOS! Do or die!

Make that webOS phones as well, and I'm in. Everyone seems to forget about the phones.... :( I couldn't get a TouchPad, but I do have a Pre 2, which I would love to play Draw Something with.

I want this, I was hoping for something like Just draw, but this is just as good.

haha I remember those days when I had the pre and every "hot" game or app that was out there was not available for webOS. OMGPOP or Zynga dont give a damn about the 1% of web OS users. They would rather make the app more stable for the other 99% with iOS and Android.

Please write emails and comments to OMGPOP. I'm sure they are reading all of them haha.

It's as if the name of the OS were "web oh (pretty) please".

I've written several developers asking to port "xyz" app over to WebOS. We "aint' to proud to beg"

I want that game for my pre 2 and my touchpad

Its under consideration for Winpho, they have 2640 likes compared to our 351! Get rallying!

NO I don't want this for TouchPad.....I want this for WEBOS!
Firstly my phone comes first when it comes to anything mobile (hint hint HP)

second if you don't make it for our WebOS phones dont bother with the Touchpad.

Third, if it cannot communicate with iOS and Android users don't even bother. I'll give you might $0.99 in a heart beat if you make this for WebOS (all platforms) and playable against iOS users and android users. For TouchPad only forget it.

Exactly! Good and bad about the Zynga acquisition of OMGPOP is cross platform communication is very likely but WebOS support (for any devices) is highly unlikely. Here's to hoping I'm wrong!

I think the only thing I can draw there are troll faces and stick man.. But it will be more convenient to draw using fingers rather than a mouse.. so I might try it with my powerful netbook.
