Here's some of the latest talk in the forums:
- Now that webOS 1.4.5 is finally finishing making the rounds of the US carriers, tngirly is listing the things they appreciate about the latest and greatest from Palm. What enhancements brought by the update do you appreciate the most? And conversely, what new features and/or bugs are you not pleased with?
- Thanks to the army of awesome homebrew developers, there are patches that augment nearly every aspect of the appearance and functionality of webOS, and forum member ferriskeanu is wondering what else you think needs patching. Let your imaginations run wild, folks.
- Do you think Neato! is neato? Do you have ideas for new features, feedback for existing ones, or questions about the application in general? Be sure to check out the official neato! thread in the webOS developer forums, where many a developer maintains a presence.

Here is what I want my phone to be able to do. I want to be able to be able to look into my "basketball live" and see the Heat vs. The Lakers and be given options to not just sync to my calendar, but also communicate with my Directv app to record the game. If our apps are able to talk to each other like that,it would be awesome right????
Love the admin page. Looks nice. The link for posting screenshots of your home screen is wrong.
I still say that the best feature of 1.4.5 is ANGRY BIRDS. I just can't put it down!

well, what i hate re 145 is that there still is no FLASH
patch for flash will be awesome haha. Everything great just that I installed a patch reset my phone and they are there an can't remove them I have to use the web os doctor
I wouldn't know what's good about 1.4.5 because I'm on ATT with a pixi!!!!!!!
I'm still amazed at people wanting Flash, if you've heard anything at all on the Android forums,youd know that Flash doesn't work for shit! On the Flash issue, Apple has it right. They've said that Flash won't work well on the mobile platform and they are right. I gives a damn about Flash! This is my response gderoiste!

I'm excited about all the great new apps I'm seeing w/ 1.4.5. Top three new games w/ 1.4.5 #1-Galcon, #2-Rednecks Vs Aliens #3-SpeedForge. As far as things I would like to see changed or added, there's only a couple that I can think of. In Palms own Clock app, there's no option for setting a weekly or monthly alarm! I have things that happen once a week and things that happen once a month that I would really like to be reminded of. The other thing is it would be nice is Palm added WMA support and playlist support for there MP3 player. I would also like the video player to work. I have tried so many different filetypes. And none of them where even seen by my phone. :-( It doesn't see avi, dixv, mpeg, mpg, or wmv. I will see m4v but won't play them. Media support is the only thing lacking on this device.

How about fixing the 'too many cards' problem. That would be a great start.
I agree that we need support for more types of video files. (I use .avi, .mpg, and .mov the most)
I love angry birds, I love the fact that now I look on the app catalog and see a TON of new apps available.
My two issues with v1.4.5 is that Asphalt5 no longer works. Keep this in mind anyone who has v1.4.1.1; once you upgrade to 1.4.5, its over for Asphalt5. From what I hear, even the demo is affected by this. Shame. This was one of my all time favorite apps for webOS.
The other issue that I have is serious for me. The pdf view app no longer works. I get the "Render Document fail" 95% of the time now. The 5% of the time that I'm fortunate enough to get a pdf to load, it crashes soon after. From what I've heard, SOME users were getting this error to some extent before 1.4.5, but it looks like 1.4.5 made it worse for them. For me, pdf view worked perfectly during 1.4.1.1 but stopped working the instant I downloaded 1.4.5. It's a pain because I used that app so much and need a pdf viewer now. I can live without Asphalt5 for a short period of time but pdf view is a productivity software, I need that one working now! I almost would trade angry birds to have pdf view back, but I shouldn't even have to make a choice like that.
I've looked at forum after forum and see no fixes scheduled for either of these two except for a homebrew patch for Asphalt5.
The patch I want the most? Double-tap the gesture area to scroll to the top of the page in the web browser.
when will at&t pixi plus get this update. I want to be able to talk about it to but I can't even get the update.
WMA support patch would be awesome..I'm really surprised this hasn't been done yet! I will be super thankful when it is! :-)
Why is the AT&T Pixi Plus the ONLY webOS phone without 1.4.5? The app store for 1.4.3 stinks. I hate looking at Preware because every time I see a cool app it tells me to upgrade my OS. I'd love to, but can't. It's seems to me that if it's cool, then we can't run it. Has everyone already moved on and forgotten about us?

I uploaded my pdf files to Google Docs so I could see 'em. This tip might be helpful for some. Works OK, but I wish my PDF Viewer app worked better.
Yeah, have had a major headache about the pdf view. Have been in Philly for the last several months and pull up SEPTA route schedules on the phone all the time, only problem is, pdf view crashes and I can't view them. Also have a pdf document where I can view everything fine on my computer but can only see headings and photographs on the phone (no body text at all)? Curious. Wonder why this isn't a "big deal"? Seems like after all these months there would have been a fix. Seems like you would have heard more about this. And is there anywhere you can go to report crap like this? Have had phone for almost a year now and am starting to get frustrated by how much it's not doing. Love the WEBOS but there is still much to be desired.
Many times my google maps won't load, says I need an internet connection when there is a full strenght signal available. Often times GPS still sucks, can't locate me, signal weak, jogstats app works only 50% of time even with full sky overhead. I have never been able to click on a link to a video in a webpage and have the thing actually play. Get the "file not supported" or "no handler" message for everything, even "jpg" files. Now that football has started again I am very p'd off a Sprint for losing or giving up on the rights to the NFL content it had. I know not everyone of you dweebs out there is a football fan but it was seriously great to have live streaming audio of every game every week. People pay hundreds of dollars a year to have that on their Sirius or Direct TV. I can still often time find games using the radiotime app but it can be a chore and not as reliable/convenient as having it all in one NFL App.
Let's hope HP/Palm release some new hardware soon, I have one year left with this Pre and I am going to be ready for some serious hardware that can really get the job done. I'd hate to have to go over to another OS after realizing the potential that WEBOS has.
I recently used the webos doctor. And I lost all of my stuff, I'm still fairly new at this. Question is, will I have to purchase Neato! again or is there a way to get it back on my phone?
