webOS community ramps up for Pre-aversary [Twitter Contest]
Sunday, June 6th is the 1-year anniversary of the release of the original Palm Pre on Sprint. Pre fans in our forums are planning on celebrating their line-waiting with some webOS boosterism.
MDsmartphone suggests making June 6th "Buy an App Day," a sentiment we can definitely get behind, while joejoe1 suggests webOS fans invade ChatRoulette to talk up their favorite phones. Abyssul takes that discussion to not-so-potentially NSFW place by suggesting Twitter and Facebook instead.
We like a combination of the above and want to help out a bit, so let's make it a contest!
- On June 6th, buy an app for webOS.
- Follow @precentral on Twitter (so we can DM you)
- Post a Tweet on June 6th: "I just bought XYZ, it's awesome. #webOSappday" or something similar. Just be sure to name the app and include the hashtag #webOSappday. Toss in "@precentral" too if you have space in your tweet.
- We'll randomly pick three winners throughout the day to receive a Touchstone and a case of your choice for your Pre or Pixi phone from what's available in the PreCentral Store.
Simple, eh? Let's see if we can't drive up some numbers for the developers who are keeping webOS exciting while we wait to see what Palm + HP have in store.
