webOS Holiday Haiku contest - the winner! 22

It's all come down to this. More than nine hundred entries were whittled down to ten finalists for your vote. Now it's time to reveal the winner of the webOS Holiday Haiku contest. The winner of a 32GB TouchPad, HP Pre3, TouchPad case, and bluetooth keyboard is... *drumroll* Beangeary! Bean's haiku was based on the holiday classic, A Christmas Story:

Wanted a Pre3
Got Red Rider bb gun
I shot my eye out

Congratulations to beangeary and all the finalists and our thanks everybody who entered. You're all awesome poets in our eyes.

And only one in the top ten. Bean's entry logged 23.97% of the vote compared to 18.76% for the second place entry.

There's no foul play at hand here - I, nor none of the rest of the judging panel that picked the finalists and honorable mentions (which are good for bragging rights and not much else) - knew any of the entrants that were selected. He had four in because we liked the haikus.

Good news is that the FrankenPre2 Update makes it kinda feel like i got a pre 3 ;)

When I saw the finalists, I sorta knew all of the top three were prolly better than mine, so no real shocker. But I was still secretly hoping for an Oprah-type surprise:

"You get a Touchpad and Pre3!
