webOS Nation Best of 2011 Awards now open for nominations 9
The year of 2011 wasn't neccesarily the greatest for webOS, its developers, and its fans, but we're still here. Down, but not out, as they say. And as this year draws to a close, we're looking back and seeing that a lot of awesomeness has happened in 2011 in spite of all the insanity. So we're going to make this an annual thing, drawing on last year's PreCentral.net Best of 2010 Awards, today we're opening nominations up for the webOS Nation Best of 2011 Awards.
On the name change: while PreCentral is coordinating the awards, in reality these are your - the webOS Nation's - awards. It's your nominations and your votes that determine who wins is honored with the title of "Best of 2011."
After the break you’ll find a list of the categories in which we are seeking your input. We want to know what apps you think are worthy of consideration for a Best of 2011 award. To make it even better, once we’ve got all the nominations in, the balloting will again be done by you, the loyal webOS Nation. Nominations will be open until Friday, December 16th, midnight Eastern time. Voting will begin on Monday, December 19th and will run until midnight Eastern on December 26th.
Here’s how it works: As mentioned above, below you’ll find a list of all of the categories for which we will be awarding a webOS Nation Best of 2011 award. If you think you have something worthy of consideration for an award, punch it into the survey after the break (or go and take the survey here).
A few notes: Last year was a free-for-all with it being the first Best of Awards, so this year we have to draw a line in the sand. That line is December 15, 2010 - any app, patch, theme, or developer you wish to nominate should have received a significant update in the past year. For clarity's sake, that means that Preware (the deserving winner of the Best App, Best Homebrew App, and Most Innovative App of 2010 Awards) should not be nominated because it has not received a significant update in 2011, while Music Player (Remix) would be eligible for nomination given the new features and TouchPad-compatible retooling the app received in 2011. You don’t have to submit an entry for every category, and you may submit multiple apps for consideration in a single category.
So, with that in mind, the categories open for nomination are...

Under the Overall category I would like to nominate whoever decided to can Léo Apotheker
The problem is that they're the same people who hired him.
Leo and his allies took the passion from WebOS. They made the best platform, irrelevant.
-1 for Leo killing the passion?
or -1 for the death spiral after an injection of "scale" and bringing us three incomplete generations of WebOS and flimsy plastic hardware?
Leo, it that you on the thumbs down button? Leo?
Please don't forget that WebOS Internals is not just a single developer:

This site keeps sinking lower and lower. Just when you think it couldn't get any more pathetic..
You're more than welcome to stop visiting and commenting. I can't say I understand how this qualifies as "lower and lower"?
I have a suggestion:
Depending on what Mrs. Whitman will do today (what is her decision), we can vote for her on all categories. What you say?
I would like to nominate Leodarts for best game, hahaha, who's with me?
