webOS SDK Confirms Palm Developers are Awesome 13
A close look at the sample audio files inside the recently-leaked webOS SDK reveals a file called "conan06.wav." In it, James Earl Jones - in the part of villian Thulsa Doom, proclaims "Now they will know why they are afraid of the dark. Now they will learn why they fear the night." Big thanks to Goyena in our forums for the find.
So let's review: To unlock Developer mode, you punch in the Konami Code. To turn on the secret Landscape email mode, you punch in RocknRollHax. Now we have a quote from Conan the Barbarian movie scuttled away in the SDK.
What do you do when you're presented with such a vast array of developer playfulness -- nay -- awesomeness? You make a corny, low-quality tribute video with the quote in it. Here's to you, webOS developers. We know McNamee's prediction that all out-of-contract iPhone owners will go Pre won't come true, but it's nice to imagine that this is what it would look like if it did.

it would be nice if the site was pre friendly and a have link to see the video from our pre's...
Amen to that....Dieter and staff, please make this site work 100% from our palm pre browser.
I've added the youtube link and will start remembering to do that on all posts with YouTube videos -- clicking it should launch the YouTube app.
Thanks for the suggestion!
LOL
nice.
Hmm youtube link on pre opens a blank grey youtube page. Nothing loads.
Darn - same here. Maybe the mobile version isn't done yet. Working on it.
Don't know what the deal is - this youtube link should work
www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDYSRAcfo2k
...Will keep looking into it. I do think that it's just that the mobile version isn't ready yet -- a search for "Pre iPhone Conan" comes up blank in YouTube and it should definitely be finding that video.
It doesn't help that your link is actually http://www.precentral.net/www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDYSRAcfo2k meaning clicking it is a trip to Hwy. 404.
fracking auto-linkers. Fixed. Pre link working now
Does the RocknRollHax not work in 1.04 or am I just doing something else wrong?
it still works on mine. i tried half a dozen times though.
it seems that if you mess up, its best to close mail and try again.
luckily i only have to do this for one email i get.
Pre, what is best in life?
