Getting a Pre to sync cleanly and fully with Outlook has been a holy grail for many a business user. Jonathan just told us about one, but there's another contender for the syncing crown: CompanionLink.  In conjunction with an app on the Pre, the $39.95 desktop software will sync your contacts, tasks, calendar, and memo entries to the Pre over USB. 

The app on your Pre is called "CL USB Sync" and it's where CompanionLink places your Tasks and Memos.  The whole thing comes with a 14 day trial to see if it works as a solution for you.

CompanionLink is offering PreCentral.net readers FIVE FREE copies of their software. They're also tossing in a their RunStart service, wherein CompanionLink experts securely log into your PC and get the whole shooting match set up for you.

Does this sync your "Palm Profile" contacts and calendar, or does it have to create a new account like all the other sync options out there?

A little pricey considering Google Sync does the same thing for FREE.
