Win a year of voice-to-text transcription for YouView 9

Syntactix, makers of the YouView Visual Voicemail Client, are holding a little contest to celebrate a year of webOS on the market. See, along with their visual voicemail that works with YouMail, there's an option of getting voicemail transcripts, an option that costs anywhere from $3.99 to $17.99 per month.

Instead, if you buy YouMail in June and forward your receipt and/or Tweet about it, you'll have a shot at ten 50-per-month transcription packages good for the next year.

Given the relatively difficulties of getting Google Voice working properly on webOS, it's not a bad option for you visual voicemail addicts.

Syntactix has the full details on their contest page, thanks Greg!

and if we bought youview before June? Are we SOL?

That's exactly what I was gonna post...that stinks! I LOVE that program..

yes it does stink... Bought Earlier

Actually, it's a breeze to get Google Voice's voicemail working in webOS, with this very program.

but do you get the free voice transcriptions like g-voice?

First 10-15 words of the transcription come through if using Google Voice forwarded to Youmail, yes.

If you tweet you are eligible even if you already bought the app. Check the rules.

The Pot is currently split in two. 5 packages awarded to those purchasing in June, and 5 more for anyone who tweets about it using the #YouMailWebOS tag saying how awesome YouView is.

We are working on a way to do a continuous smaller monthly contest that would include all users. The catch is many people do not keep their Palm receipts so we didn't want to count them out and instead we will be coming up with a better way to include them.

If all goes well I don't think anyone will complain if we gave out more than ten in the end :).

Even if your not Addicted to visual voicemail, this is a great app to have. Makes managing your voicemail so much easier, plus, once you setup your account, the voicemail can be set to greet the caller by name.
