Your choice: Palm giving away a Pre or a Pixi on Facebook 15

Palm giveaway

Attention Palm fans: Get your hands on the latest gear from Palm. Our friends in Sunnyvale have decided to celebrate the unveiling of the Pixi with a giveaway on Facebook. But you aren’t limited to the Pixi, you can pick to win a Pre or any other available Palm phone. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on Palm’s Facebook contest page (registration is required) specifying which phone you want - if you win the Pixi, you’ll get it when it becomes available later this year. Entries will be closed on October 14th, when Palm will randomly select one commenter to receive the device of their choice. Twenty others will be sent a copy of Palm Pre: The Missing Manual. So that’s one fewer excuse to not have a Palm phone, right? Right.

Or they realize that the US is currently their largest market and that it's simply easier to set up a contest for their home country than to deal with the myriad rules that govern international contests.

How about they replace my cracked pre? I got my pre when it first came out and its been fine so far until last week I heard a cracking noise happen on the right side corner. I was texting when this happened. Now that crack is spreading to the gesture area. My pre is also peeling on the sides too from over heating I guess. I thought I was just lucky that I didn't get a defective pre. Going to sprint today to see what they tell me. I hope they replace it! I love this phone!

I made a comment. I kinda hope I don't win... I absolutely love my Pre. On my third one but this one is perfect once i did a simple fix to remedy it's slight oreo. If I end up winning, I guess I'll take the Pixie and just give it to somebody... :)

if i win i would take the pixie, but i would probably sell it and my pre and go get a hero when that comes out.

I was in the same boat as you. Until I found out that the Hero processor would have only made it relevant (to me) a year ago. When an Android phone gets a chip at least on par or superior with the OMAP chip on the Pre then I'll definetly consider switching.
