Audiophile Music Player, Cloud Storage Apps, Touchstone Car Mounts and More From The Forums

While some reviewers on the net wonder why webOS is called "web"OS, others are busy trying to figure out the best ways to take advantage of the cloud-based features that are readily available through the App Catalog. gvilleben needs help finding out which cloud based file storage/syncing service is the best for webOS and could use more examples and pointers of how to best use the available options: GoAruna, ZumoDrive and Dropboxify.

If 2010 was the year for webOS Twitter Apps to compete, 2011 is shaping up to be the year for Music Apps. With full availability of the webOS 2.0 SDK, more developers are getting their hands on the goodies that come with the new devices and nyuepik is no different. He is developing a new Music Player called Audiophile and needs your help testing out the latest features, which are very unique compared to competing music apps.

When announced, the Touchstone was one of those accessories that really set the Palm Pre apart from the competition, and with webOS 2.0 apps adding in Exhibition Mode to their feature-set, the Touchstone is getting more useful every day. This thread might be old, but TopToungeBarry has been looking for people to share photos of how they dock the Touchstone in their vehicles, and there are some really decent ideas floating around.

It's depressing to think about how much damage can be done when dropping a Pre, but when we think of the Pre 2 and Gorilla Glass, we hardly think that it would be capable of shattering. Unfortunately for flipberkheimer that is exactly what happened when he dropped his Pre 2 face down on a wood floor, and now he has had to take a step back to his Pixi while waiting on a replacement. He wants to know, and so do we, has anyone else had similar problems with their Pre 2?

If you are a fan of the TV show Castle, you may have noticed a scene showing both the TouchPad and Pre, or maybe not (we didn't catch it yet, ourselves). Either way, tpthomasstt says that the scene showed the very unique pairing between the devices as the TouchPad alerted us to an incoming phone call on a nearby Pre. It's what we're looking forward to come this Summer, but some people are getting a closer look at the feature right now, it seems.

There's a lot more to check out in the Forums though, and if you haven't stopped by there already, now's as good a time as any.
