Mark all email as read [webOS 2.0+]

This tip is only for devices running webOS 2.x or 3.x

Email Dropdown menuEvery time you open an email message, the system will automatically mark it as read and will sync that status back to the server (assuming your account type supports it, such as IMAP or Exchange accounts). Unfortunately, if you want to quickly mark multiple emails as read, there is no quick way to do that like as using swipe-to-delete or the multi-select option that was introduced in webOS 3.0. Luckily, the ability to mark all email messages within a certain folder (including the "all inboxes" folder) was added in webOS 2.0 and continued into webOS 3.0. You simply need to:

  1. Open up a mail folder
  2. Swipe-down from the top-left to bring down the Email Application dropdown menu
  3. Choose "Mark All Read".
  4. A pop-up up will appear asking you to confirm your action
  5. The next time your email account syncs back with the server, the status of all those messages will be updated as read
