Show your Patriotism with We The People HD

In the United States, the Fourth of July, today, is a day of celebration for its citizens all around the world. It serves as a reminded of that first day of independence was brought to the people in 1776, when the Declaration of Independence was signed by 56 men from the original 13 colonies in North America, and gives some a sense of patriotic pride as they remember the men who fought to set them free from oppression. In modern days, most people will shoot off fireworks and cook hamburgers on the grill with friends and family, but today you can celebrate your country in a whole new way. We The People HD, an app developed by Greg Stoll (who also brings us FlightPredictor and other great apps) gives us a direct look at the Constitution of the United States, the Declaration of Independence, and the 27 Constitutional Amendments that make up the Supreme Federal Law of the land.

You can get We The People HD in the TouchPad App Catalog for $0.99 (or you can get the non-HD version for the same price on your smartphone) and give yourself a refreshing lesson on the documents that set the groundwork for what the United States would one day become. We probably won't advise you to read this at the family gathering, though. The length and context, while inspiring, might not be the most exciting for the young ones to sit through (or anyone, for that matter) when there are fireworks to light up.

Have a safe and happy Fourth, everyone. How will you be spending your day?

UPDATE: Greg has decided (in our comments below) that all Veterans and Active Military can get a Promo Code to use this app for free! Just send him an email at, and he'll send the app your way.
