Splashtop Remote Desktop goes HD for TouchPad

The HP TouchPad is a pretty capable device, but let’s be honest, it’s not a do-everything and do-anything device. There are limitations to the form factor, limitations to webOS, and just plain limitations to not having a keyboard, mouse, and a full copy of Windows or Mac OS X. But there’s a way around those limitations: Splashtop Remote Desktop.

Splashtop has released a new HD version of their Remote Desktop app for the TouchPad, and it provides a full link-up between your TouchPad and your PC or Mac. The app is currently running for $9.99, a 50% discount off the eventual full list price. With Splashtop Remote Desktop HD (what a mouthful), you can fully control and interact with your computer over the internet, giving you access to all your favorite PC hits, like PowerPoint, iTunes, and Internet Explorer. Pretty much if you can do it on your PC, you can do it with Remote Desktop, and if you’re on a good connection, you’ll never even know the difference.
